About Laurie Levy

How you feel after meeting your child for the first time can set the tone for the rest of your parenting journey. I love helping families discern what matters most in birth so they can look back on their experience and say, “We are healthy, peaceful, full of love, and we made really good decisions for our family.” With that in mind, I trained to be a doula with Seattle Midwifery School in 2001 and certified through DONA International. I am also a licensed massage practitioner, certified childbirth educator, instructor of human anatomy and physiology, and hold an MA in Counseling. I created and produce The Mama-logues: A Comedy About Motherhood, an annual fundraiser benefitting Open Arms Perinatal Services and WestSide Baby. Originally from the East Coast, I relocated to Seattle in 1994 and live with my three red-headed sons, my husband and a bevy of animals. I am a rabid reader, NPR fan, and can make almost anything out of duct tape. Rate: $3,000
